Vaginismus
Vaginismus is defined as an involuntary vaginal spasm that interferes with intercourse. Pain is not necessarily required for diagnosis.
A comprehensive evaluation including history and physical examination are performed. Treatment strategies include sex therapy, biofeedback, oral medications such as tricyclic antidepressants and injection of Botox.
